It’s name comes from the latin intercalis, the crossing of paths, and it is true that on foot or by bike, on horseback of by car, all paths cross at Entrechaux.
But in all modesty, this crossing of paths was more a crossing of historical highways as, from the top of the nearby Mt Ventoux, one could have watched Hannibal passing with his elephants, Roman troops searching for Gallic resistance fighters, Sarasins passing on their horses.
But the present is just as exciting. Come and take a closer look this year at the many cultural, sportive and festive events both in and around this unspoilt provencal village.
